Toronto, ON- June 25th, 2010 – Nigerian heart-throbs’ and multi-talented award winning music duo-group, P-Square can easily be been labeled as multi-platinum recording artists’, proven to be one of the most promising R&B / Hip-Hop music artists/group out of the Nigerian music scene recently. The identical twins Peter and Paul club banger lyrics, upbeat love songs, and movement-inducing sounds are established on their worldwide acclaimed fourth debut hip-hop album titled, Danger, featuring collaborations with TuFace Idibia, J Martins and Frenzy.

Thus far, P-Square’s junior studio best-selling album, Game Over, sold 8 million copies worldwide.

Peter and Paul Okoye began their music career as while attending St. Murumba College, a small Catholic school located in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria. Joining their school’s music and drama club; became well-known for their singing, dancing, and miming songs by the likes of MC Hammer, Bobby Brown and King of Pop Icon, Michael Jackson. “Our prolific dance routines snagged us a household name in the city of Jos, leading us to the birth of P-Square and worldwide fame”

“Every artist has a starting point—to begin with, as twin brothers we were very popular. In addition, we crafted and formulated our musical talents ranging from keyboard, rhythm guitars, drums, and bass, which became a superior ingredient to our future. Originally we formed a cappella quartet group called “MMMPP” (later changed name to “MMPP” due to one of the members. We remember honoring our greatest American idol, Michael Jackson, and ignited a group called SmoothCriminals.”

Peter and Paul attended the University of Abuja in Nigeria to study Business Administration; and under mutual terms all other members separated. Nonetheless knowingly the brothers, as “two equals one”, made them into the critically acclaimed duo-group named, P-Square.

In April 2010, while in concert at the Troxy in London, the super-star group, P-Square won honored as Artiste of the Year at the KORA All Africa Music Awards held in Ouagadougou, Burkina-Faso, receiving a sum of $1million dollars as the Award Recipients. In an official statement, the President of Burkina-Faso, Blaise Compaore dubbed P-Square, as the “next African export” as far as music is concerned. The group is managed by their elder brother, Jude “Engees” Okoye, also a video director, won Best Video for one of P-Square’s most famous videos titled, “Do Me” from their junior (third) album, Game Over, along with a cash sum of twenty-thousand dollars.

P-Square has shared the stage with international artists’, such as Akon, Sean Paul, Ginuwine, and Busola Keshiro, just to name a few. It’s no surprise; P-Square was recently nominated at the BET AWARDS 2010 for Best International Act. P-Square has won respectfully Best Group for the 2009 and 2010 MTV Africa Music Awards.

To date, P-Square’s music career has won them many accolades of awards as Best R & B Album, Best Music Video, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year, respectfully from Hip Hop World Awards; Best Hip-Hop group--City Mag 9th Awards Show; Album of the Year and Music Video of the Year--Nigerian Music Awards (NMA); Best Music Video of the Year and Best Collabo of the Year--Nigerian Entertainment Awards (NEA) [U.S.A] ; Best Duo or Group and Video of the Year--Channel O Music Video Awards; and Best Group-- Amen Award.

Additionally, the duo-group has received two MOBO Awards nominations; and a leading six MTV Africa Music Awards nominations.
